Eating Disorders
Eating disorders are unhealthy behaviors related to food and body weight. They can range from involving a severe reduction of food intake, excessive overeating, along with extreme concern about body shape and size. Some commonly know disorders are anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating. A person with an eating disorder may have started out just eating smaller or larger amounts of food, but at some point, the urge to eat less or more spiraled out of control. Severe distress or concern about body weight or shape may also characterize an eating disorder. Eating disorders frequently appear during the teen years or young adulthood but may also develop during childhood or later in life. They can affect both men and women. Eating disorders are real, treatable medical illnesses. They frequently coexist with other illnesses such as depression, substance abuse, or anxiety disorders. Disorders can become life-threatening if a person does not receive treatment.

Eating disorders are gross. These people need help because they are going to ruin there body by doing this to there selves.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a sad thing to witness. I genuinely feel so bad for people who have it because it's so hard to get them to realize they need the help and they are slowly killing themselves in the process.
ReplyDeleteI think that eating disorders are very serious issues that need to be addressed. The people that have eating disorders like these need to be treated so they don't put their lives in danger anymore than they already have. Eating disorders are kind of disgusting to me and i think people need help if they are involved with any of these disorders.
ReplyDeleteI wish that people wouldn't have eating disorders. I feel that since they are so bad for people, people wouldn't have them. Obviously, that has been proven wrong. I wish that everyone who has an eating disorder will get help so that they can be healthy and know that they are beautiful no matter what their size.
ReplyDeleteThe media affects mostly women and sometimes men in ways of thinking they are not the correct way to look. People should be happy with who they are and not do something so stupid like never eating anything. These people need help
